The 10th EAWOP Early Career Summer School will take place 7 - 11 September 2026 in Bologna, Italy.
Bologna, home to the world’s oldest university and one of Italy’s most lively cities, will make the 10th EAWOP Early Career Summer School a rich professional and cultural experience.
Aim
The aim of the EAWOP Early Career Summer School for Advanced Work and Organizational Psychology is to foster inner-European research collaborations and to support the development of promising researchers in this field.
The summer school presents the unique opportunity for young researchers to meet with fellow researchers and prominent professors and to discuss their own work as well as aspects of being a researcher.
The summer school is held biennially in non-congress years (i.e. 2024, 2026, etc.) with the next being held 7 - 11 September 2026.
EAWOP and AoM OB Division
For the very first time, the summer school will be jointly organized by EAWOP and the AoM OB division.
Activities
The summer schools consist of a variety of activities:
- Keynote lectures from distinguished international scholars
- Hands-on workshops on the craft of being a researcher and key academic skills (e.g., creating impact from research, shaping a sustainable academic career)
- Interactive networking, peer exchange, and thematic group sessions
- Social activities

Who can apply?
- You are a PhD student in your final year or scholar who obtained your PhD within the last 5 years.

You are an EAWOP member and/or a member of the AoM’s OB division.
- Early bird registration is 350 euro
- Late bird registration is 425 euro
The fee covers participation, excursions and lunch. Accommodation and travel costs are not included. Suggestions to affordable hotels will be made. Non-members must sign up for a one-year EAWOP or AoM membership prior to registration for the summer school.

What to Provide
- An updated CV including publication list
- A 1000-word abstract describing your project and study that you will present at the summer school
- A 500-word abstract outlining future research ideas and plans: these may included proposed theoretical developments, data collection, funding applications, and publication targets
- A recommendation letter from your PhD advisor or current primary research supervisor
