AI In Assessment
The developments in AI and large language models are having a substantial impact in many areas of life. Their use is now widespread in Assessment. In recruitment AI is being used to shortlist resumes and manage and score interviews. This year’s workshop will be led by Dr Mitja Ružojčić from the University of Zagreb, Lara Montefiori, VP of Product at AmplifyME and Kate Young from The Hiring Science Studio. These three are at the leading edge of developments in the use of AI in assessment.
Registration details here.
Mitja Ružojčić is a post-doc at the University of Zagreb, where he teaches and conducts research in the field of work and organizational psychology. His research focuses on psychological assessment in work settings, with particular emphasis on novel approaches to personality measurement, including implicit measures, situational judgment tests, and, most recently, the use of AI in assessment. He is currently involved in a Croatian Science Foundation project on AI methods for assessing achievement motivation and actively open-minded thinking.
He has published and serves as a reviewer for respectable international peer-reviewed journals in work and organizational psychology (e.g., European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, International Journal of Selection and Assessment).
Lara Montefiori is the former Chief Scientific Officer of Arctic Shores, where she designed and validated a live assessment platform using controlled game mechanics grounded in established neuroscientific tasks — directly addressing issues with faking and adverse impact in workplace assessment. The platform assessed over three million candidates across 350 organisations in 45 countries. She has since held senior product leadership and advisory positions at Multiverse and TikTok, and consults through her boutique practice L.A.R.A. Science & Tech at the frontier of behavioural data and human potential. She is currently VP of Product at AmplifyME, where she leads the development of a behavioural data platform for early-career talent in finance.
Kate Young studied Applied Psychology at Cardiff University and has an MSc in Organisational Psychology. Having held senior practitioner roles at Talogy, Cappfinity, and Heidrick and Struggles, she went on to lead assessment science functions at Multiverse and Sapia.ai, working at the intersection of psychometric rigour and AI-driven hiring technology. In 2026 she founded The Hiring Science Studio, an independent consultancy specialising in selection system governance, assessment fairness, and AI vendor due diligence. Young's work is grounded in the measurement-versus-inference distinction that sits at the heart of responsible automated hiring, and she speaks regularly at conferences, webinars, and podcasts on the topic of AI in assessment, offering practical frameworks rooted in research to answer real-world questions about responsible measurement in the age of AI.
