Announcing Statistical Horizons’ 2024 Seminars

17.01.2024

Elevate your statistical proficiency with Statistical Horizons. Our short online seminars, carefully designed and led by industry experts, cover a diverse spectrum of advanced statistical topics.

We’re excited to offer a dynamic selection of over 20 livestream seminars this winter and spring. Attend live via Zoom or watch asynchronously through recorded videos.

Learn topics like:

Latent Class Analysis taught by Stephanie Lanza & Bethany Bray, February 8-10. Learn to apply latent class analysis to inform theory, guide interventions, contribute to evidence-based decision-making, and extract new insights from data.
• Two Key Techniques for Quantifying the Robustness of Causal Inferences taught by Kenneth Frank, February 29-March 1. In just 8 hours (over 2 days), gain hands-on experience quantifying the sensitivity of a causal inference.
Exploratory Factor Analysis taught by Kristopher Preacher, March 20, 21, 23. In this seminar, you will learn the statistical theory of EFA from a social and behavioral sciences perspective, as well as obtain hands-on experience factor analyzing data.
Propensity Score Analysis: Basics (March 14-16) and Advanced (April 4-6) taught by Shenyang Guo. This 2-part series will take you from PSA basics to advanced methods like kernel-based matching, propensity score subclassification, propensity score analysis of categorical or continuous treatments, and Rosenbaum sensitivity analysis of hidden selections.
Mediation, Moderation, and Conditional Process Analysis taught by Amanda Montoya, April 18-20. Learn how to apply methods for statistical mediation, moderation, and conditional process analysis using ordinary least squares (OLS) regression and the PROCESS macro, available for SPSS, SAS, and R.

Or check out our Distinguished Speaker Series, a series of 3-hour seminars taught by some of the most prominent and innovative scholars in the field.

PROCESS vs. Structural Equation Modeling: The Analysis of the Mechanisms and Contingencies of Effects taught by Andrew F. Hayes, January 24. Explore the advantages and drawbacks of employing a regression-based strategy for mediation, moderation, and conditional process analysis in contrast to structural equation modeling (SEM).
Methods for Meta-Analysis: 40 Years of Progress taught by Larry V. Hedges, March 27. Join for an introduction to meta-analysis methods, how they can be used, issues that can arise, and approaches to publication bias.
