Call for candidates (extended deadline)

Call for candidates for EAWOP Executive Committee

Dear Constituent Member/ Member,

The Executive Committee (EC) of EAWOP is composed of seven members who serve for four or six years.  At the coming General Assembly the president and three members of the EC will complete their term. We are therefore seeking nominations for the four vacancies to be filled.

Any full member of EAWOP may be nominated although the rules do not allow more than one serving member from a country at a time. In addition it is desirable that the EC reflects the diversity of our membership including academics and practitioners, career stages, regions, interests and domains of practice.

It is the EC’s role to manage the activity of EAWOP and help deliver its mission – namely to promote and support the development and application of Work and Organizational Psychology in Europe and to facilitate links between scientists and practitioners working in this field across Europe and worldwide.

Being a member of the EC offers opportunities for professional development and networking at the international level, including involvement in a variety of projects (e.g., Summer School, “WorkLab” for practitioners, scientific and professional journals, Alliance for Organizational Psychology, enhancing the impact of W&O psychology). Membership requires attendance at between 2-4 Executive meetings each year as well as ongoing management of designated projects.

Nominations for candidates for appointment at the next General Assembly held during the EAWOP Congress in Dublin, May 17th -21st, 2017) should be sent to the General Secretary of EAWOP (secretary@eawop.org) to arrive by 24th of March.  In the event of there being more candidates than available positions, elections will be held during the next General Assembly in Dublin.

Nominations for president must be supported by 10 Full Members or 3 Constituents.  Nominations for other EC members must be supported by 5 Full Members or 1 Constituent.  The EC may also nominate candidates.  Nominations should include a statement of support from the relevant number of members or constituents and a short CV and statement of interest from the candidate.

If you would like more information about the positions or the process of standing please contact us or any other EC members.

We look forward to receiving your nominations.

Warm regards on behalf of EC members,

Gudela Grote                       Helen Baron

President, EAWOP              General Secretary, EAWOP
