Lifetime achievement award for Angela Carter

Angela Carter received a lifetime achievement award for her work in the European Association of Work and Organisation Psychology (EAWOP) at their congress in Dublin in May.  Dr Carter’s served on the Executive Committee of EAWOP from 2007 to 2013, She worked to develop the constituent council increasing membership from 10 to 34 constituent countries.  She also established a regular international forum for practitioners in the form of the Worklab, and continues to chair the organising committee.  Furthermore, Dr Carter established the e-journal, which focuses on the application of Work and Organisational Psychology in Europe. It is aimed at both academics and practitioners and has recently been awarded its first star rating based on citations. Dr Carter continues to take a leading role in editing this journal.
She also remains active in the BPS and is the Division of Occupational Psychology’s (DOP) leading voice on youth employment, her main area of research, as well as being a former Chair of the DOP. Dr Carter is also a lecturer in work psychology at the Institute of Work Psychology, part of Sheffield University Management School.
