JOB DESCRIPTION
The main requirements of this post will be to provide teaching and to undertake research in the general area of organisational psychology.
• To provide teaching on core organisational psychology modules on the School’s undergraduate degree programmes.
• To provide teaching on the MSc in Organisational Psychology/Managerial Psychology and on other masters programmes within the School, including the new Masters in Management programme.
• To contribute to Organisational Psychology Group’s teaching on the Full-Time MBA Global MBA programmes.
• To supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student dissertations on specific topics in organisational psychology, as well as other topics relevant to the appointee’s area of research expertise.
• To contribute to MBS’s reputation for world class research in any area of organisational psychology.
• To disseminate the results of research through publication in appropriate peer-reviewed journals and books at a level of excellence consistent with a world-class institution, through academic conferences, and through publication in other journals oriented at policymakers and practitioners.
• To participate in the provision of executive education, development and other activities aimed at the policy and practitioner communities, particularly in areas and on subjects drawing on the research and teaching activities referred to above.
• To contribute to the wider activities, management/administration and development of the School.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
• A doctoral degree in organisational psychology
• A track record of publication in academic peer-reviewed journals
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• The ability to write and communicate effectively with policymaker and practitioner audiences
• Experience and track record of effective teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level
• Versatility and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Experience and track record of undertaking high-level research and securing external research funding Desirable
• Registration as an Occupational Psychologist with the HPC
