Situation of social psychology around the world - SURVEY
On behalf of Dr. Arin H. Ayanian, The Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence (IKG), Bielefeld University
"We would like to invite you to participate in our study about the situation of social psychology around the world. This survey requests information about research topics, research methods, funding and publication practices in your country, with the aim of assessing aspirations and challenges in social psychological research in different countries. We are especially interested in countries and research topics that are less visible in mainstream, international social psychology.
We would be very grateful if you could spend 20 minutes filling out the questionnaire, and help us disseminate the questionnaire link among colleagues working in your country or elsewhere. The questionnaire is anonymous. We do not collect any personal information about participants. Data will only be used for research purposes.
The research is conducted by Arin Ayanian (The Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence, Germany), Anna Kende (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary), Barbara Lasticova (Slovak Academy of Sciences, Slovakia), Rim Saab (American University of Beirut, Lebanon), and Fouad Bou Zeineddine (Independent researcher, Beirut, Lebanon).
Kindly note that the questionnaire is written in English as a means to target those around the world who have relatively easier linguistic access to international publications in social psychology. We recognize the extreme underrepresentation of non-English speaking social psychologists in the international mainstream literature, and the importance of extending this project beyond the English-speaking community in future research.
If you have any questions or would like to receive further information about our project, please do not hesitate to contact us at underrepresented.socpsychology@gmail.com.
The questionnaire can be accessed here: https://elteppk.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0lFNOAUvoSzCy21
Thank you in advance for your co-operation."
