Statistical Horizons presents Winter and Spring 2023 short seminars

Statistical Horizons offers short seminars on a wide variety of advanced statistical topics. Our courses are held online for researchers from all over the world, with disciplines ranging from academia to business, non-profit organizations, and government.

We invite you to join one of our over 25 livestream seminars held this winter and spring via Zoom. If you cannot attend live, you can participate asynchronously by watching recorded videos of each session.

Learn topics like:

Difference in Differences taught by Nick Huntington-Klein on February 9-11. Learn the fundamentals of difference-in-differences (DID) methods and how to perform DID analysis on your own.
Sensitivity Analysis for Causal Inference taught by Kenneth Frank on March 8-10. Learn to quantify the sensitivity of an inference using techniques that can be adapted to a range of analyses, including logistic regression, propensity-based approaches, and multilevel models.
Categorical Structural Equation Modeling taught by Kevin Grimm on March 8-10. Learn a comprehensive treatment of SEM for binary and ordinal outcomes using two of the best software packages for the task: Mplus and lavaan (a package for R).
Experimental Methods taught by Henry May on March 30-April 1. Acquire the skills to design and conduct experiments that meet the requirements of many federal and foundation grants programs focused on intervention research.
Multilevel Structural Equation Modeling taught by Kristopher Preacher on May 17-19 and May 22-24. This 6-day seminar introduces a variety of extensions to MLM, including cutting-edge multilevel structural equation modeling (MSEM) to handle complex designs and modeling objectives.
Propensity Score Analysis: Basics (June 6-9) and Advanced (June 20-23) taught by Shenyang Guo. This 2-part series will take you from PSA basics to advanced methods like kernel-based matching, propensity score subclassification, propensity score analysis of categorical or continuous treatments, and Rosenbaum sensitivity analysis of hidden selections.
